Hyperbole
On Pg.15, the second panel is a hyperbole. The theatre is on fire, and Marji draws the death as ghosts, but as you can see, their faces all show surprise and sadness, and they are crazily running to exit. I think that is a hyperbole.

ReplyDeleteThe people in that panel are also censored, giving the reader a chance to realized that there was a great population of people that were burnt in the theater, and that the people could have been anyone.
ReplyDeleteThis is like the discussion about censorship that we had during our study of 1984.
